C++ alien drummer

Posted in 2009, when I would have been doing a game development course but I was having infuriating trouble with collision detection.

As you can see, the alien character is having some strange movement problems. It was meant to use the red squares as platforms and fall off the end of them.

From memory I used DirectDraw and my own modified "engine" for this game ("engine" is a loose term, it was more of a wrapper class for the DirectDraw methods).

All the sprites were of my own creation including all the background buildings and the drumming alien which was fully animated!
